Most Important Photograph
This photograph is from the article "The Little Red Summer Camp" of the August 19th, 2001's New York Times . The article is about my childhood summer camp, Camp Kinderland and it details the special nature of Kinderland--a camp that along with normal activities promotes the values of non-violence and social justice. While clearly this photograph is not superb technically, it highlights an important and formative aspect of my childhood and identity. The photograph is clearly taken at the waterfront of my camp where many memories were formed, and it also underscores the current dynamic of my group--the Thirteens. I'm sitting directly at the center of the bench, looking directly to my left. I see this photograph as candidly capturing an important moment in time during such a significant part of my life.
